I'm currently 18 and in my final year of High School. I'm also working part-time at a retail store. It seems that I have become very good at understanding when a girl is into me, when people don't want me around, when people are being insincere etc.

But it seems like when it comes to talking to people, I may as well be handicapped. I can make conversation with people, which can go on for a while, however, for most of the people I talk with, it just stays at that. Any sort of relationship, with guys or girls, never seems to progress beyond casual conversation.

Meanwhile, my other peers and co-workers can be much warmer with each other, despite not having known one another for as long as I have.

Why is the case? How can I fix this?
