I debatably failed a shit test and could use some advice on how I can handle future tests better

The snap was her sitting at a bar drinking a marg and the caption said "just danced with a 50 year old for his birthday"

I responded with "wow, first time?"

In hindsight not the best response, but ya live and learn. Any ideas how I can do better?
