Should I start a 6 day PPL program?

Depends are you younger or older. Are you comfortable with your current size? If it is in line with your self improvement, the answer is yes.

I did all the gaining in my younger years but the amount of food and maintenance became too much for my current lifestyle. So I do combination of calestenics, pullups with and without weight, overload sets and the basic deadlift, chest squat stuff. Mostly to maintain and cut for late spring, early summer.

Lots of references to choose from but I like officialthenx, Mike Rashid and CT Fletcher from a motivational standpoint.

Haven't looked too much into PPL but plan to do so soon.

What's your goal, you want keep training strength? Just kind of getting tired of SS and want to switch it up?

1700 calories? Not enough. You need to eat your TDEE + calories from exercise + about 200 more for the new muscle, every day
