I get similar comments when I do something for people when they haven't earned it.

To nip that, just be more selective of who you do such things to/for.

Here's an example: I have a habit of dropping off people when it's late at night. If I do this for our employees, it's just the boss taking care of his people. When I offered this to a bunch of girls who were idly standing around after a speed dating event, in unison I got "Aww, that's so nice of you!"

... Fuck if I'm doing that again for people I barely know.

I’ve had girls say that earlier in my life. I would always say “I’m not. Actually I’m the worst thing that could happen to you. Watch out” along with a subtle smile and a chill wink.
