Question first: How to you practice TRP in a country where you can barely speak the language?

Longer version: I moved to a foreign country to start graduate school and get my PhD. Putting it broadly, I moved from an English speaking country to a country in the "Far East" where, though English is taught in schools, not many people here are comfortable with English. Talking to anyone, even ordering food, gets me a "deer in the headlights" look and running away to find someone else that can speak English better. Also doesn't help that I don't speak the native language (didn't need to for my research thesis), though I am currently learning.

That being said, literally right as I get here, I found TRP and pretty much wow.... amazing stuff, this is me, blah blah blah. Same thing most people have seen. Swallowing TRP now and this is a crazy rabbit hole. Still getting used to everything.

In reading around though, a lot of the posts and items from here, there is a significant language/talking component to practicing TRP; from openers, to questions, to "layers", etc. If I talk in the "native language" though, I pretty much have the vocabulary of a pre-schooler. On top of that, planning on going back to my home country when I'm done, BUT I want to start practicing now.

Herein lies the long form of the question: A) How do you execute TRP if you can barely speak the language and B) What aspects should you focus on if you can't speak the language?
