Suppose my name is Mike (it isn't) and the woman on the other end of messaging/texting uses "Hey Mike". Most of the time, is it an IoI? (indicator of interest). Here's some actual examples that have happened to me:

Example #1 (happened to me twice on FB messenger)

Me: blah blah blah

Her: blah blah blah

Me: Ya know, I'm getting tired of messaging, I'd like to call you sometime, what's your phone number?

Her: Hey Mike, it's xxx-xxx-xxxx

Example #2 - (giving her an unexpected compliment)

Her: I never liked that dress

Me: I thought you looked awesome in that dress

Her: Hey Mike, I actually still have that dress in my closet!

Example #3 ( texting a woman who obviously likes me)

Me: Is it going to rain tomorrow? (or any bland question)

Her: Hey Mike. The forecast is saying it might! Thanks for asking! (she nearly always uses "Hey Mike")

It almost feels like "Hey (name)" is like the girl twirling her hair while talking to you (an obvious IoI) Opinions anyone?
