He's personable and amazing at what he does. He has a passion that shows in every movie he's in, from comedy to drama. Those are things that radiate off a person.

Tom Hanks the quintessential nice guy. He is universally seen and recognized as a good person, therefore, people have nothing bad to say about him. He keeps his reputation clean, he avoids the front page of the tabloids and he doesn't rub people the wrong way like a lot of celebrities tend to do.

Throw in the fact that he's not bad looking, has a hugely successful career, and is filthy rich - yea. He's well-liked. Make no mistake, though - he could have made a sharp turn to rated R slasher films or action hero films at any time between 1984 and the present, but he has carefully selected his roles and his projects to reinforce his status as a nice guy.

If any RP lessons can be taught, it's to stay true to who you are - or at least, who you want OTHERS to think you are. Through hard work and uncompromising willpower, Tom Hanks has successfully crafted his brand and image into the iconic status that it is today.
