My own brother never wants to hear anything about politics from me(a libertarian/conservative) yet he will admit that he is open to hearing leftist politics from my sister.
Sounds like your brother is an idiot.
Whichever side he identifies isn't the issue, it's the fact that he has shut himself off to even discussing opposing viewpoints.
People like him on either side are the problem in our country right now, and why no progress is being made.
If you want to have political discussions, find people on either side who are willing to actually listen and talk to each other.
So is it just fuck western civilization? Give up on it? Just forsake the world my cousins and neices and nephews will inherit?
Do what you want man, just because your family doesn't agree with you politically and are asshats about it, doesn't mean you can't contribute in whatever way you choose.

I was using him as an example he is not an anomaly. If you don't think the end of american society is upon us if we continue the route we have been going then your eyes are closed.
We have been experimenting with this bullshit all over the world and it is predictability failing massively.

I know, right? When I learned about sexual strategy and started lifting, everything Rush Limbaugh and Alex Jones were saying started to make sense. And I realized that my thinking politics was about the pursuit of wealth and power was all wrong. The Democrats and liberals weren't just selling keywords to get elected and make bank, they were actively pushing for global Marxism and Sharia law. And Republicans and conservatives weren't playing to poor white people's fears, paranoia and superstitions (to get elected and make bank), they were trying to stop this evil globalist plot. That's when I got my first Confederate flag and my new AR-15. Thanks TRP!

At the end of the day politicians are there to push THEIR agenda, not yours or mine. That is the problem majority of people fail to realize - politicians don't give a crap about us, they only care for our votes.
And hell you can't truly fix politics, many have tried; Ancient Greeks, Romans, Founding fathers etc - yet every damn time, the corruption just keeps creeping in through the cracks. It is what it is sadly. Embrace it and use it for your gain.
