There’s this chick (I’ll call her Megan), HB 8.5, been friends for over a year. (In this context it means we are in the same org and see each other around every week or so). In the past I feel like she tried to make me an orbiter (she used to be in a relationship) until she realized I was a player and then backed off. We have always been in this weird and obscure thing where we flirt and back off ever since. She’s kinda weird and all over the place and it’s VERY hard to read her at all.

A few weeks back she brought in her friend (Another HB8) from out of town and I proceeded to show her a good time and made out with her all night at a party we all were at. For the next few weeks Megan has been snapping and texting me more, but I only reply, never double text, and never text her on my own (I’m chasing other chicks and doing ZERO orbiting with her, which she has a few).

Texts me today to go on a little drive (10 minutes round trip) with her because she wants to have someone in the car able to move it in case meter maids show up, so I say sure. We drive and chat, and on the way back she mentions a Christmas party tomorrow.

She then proceeds to try to make me jealous with like several different guys. “Did I tell you I slept in Mike’s bed? We didn’t do anything but we did it like three times” I said yeah and she says “Good,” which I’m guessing was the classic Freudian slip.

She tells me she’s nervous for the party and “just knows” that when she’s drunk she’s gonna go under the mistletoe and kiss a bunch of people including him and she’s developing feelings for him.

I proceed by telling her “it sounds like he needs me to be his wingman to make it work between you 2,” and “I hope you kiss a girl under the mistletoe too.”

She then quickly tells me she’s going ice skating the next day with some other guy, I ask “who’s that?” We ended on that essentially and I left.

It leaves me to ask, is she trying to evoke jealousy for me to make a move. Or just word vomiting to someone she’s trying to make an orbiter? My confirmation bias tells me one thing, but I’m hoping for some second opinions. Thanks
