My last ex had a tendency to be a bit over-friendly with other men (especially but not only gays) when she was drunk. She never did anything like kissing or touching them inappropriately (that I saw), just being a bit flirty and physical. Often the men were visibly uncomfortable because they knew she was with me. The last time this happened, I came out of the toilet to find her joking with some dudes we had met and putting her hands on them (shoulders and upper body only - Idk how to describe it, it’s like she was hanging off of and playfully pushing them). I played it off like “Leave those poor boys alone, nobody wants you puking on them”, but once we were out of earshot I told her how embarrassing her behaviour was and that it made me look bad in front of our friends. I might have also mentioned that it made me wonder what she was doing when I was inside and other times I wasn’t around. The guys both looked pretty awkward when I came out, and a friend of hers said something like “Quick, she’s getting their numbers!” (which was “a joke”, but apparently she did actually ask for their numbers, to meet up later “as a group”).

This just popped up in my head and I’m wondering if I overreacted or should have handled it differently. Ultimately she was going home with me every night and I have no reason to believe she did anything else. But I also have no reason to believe she didn’t. I’m wondering if this is something most girls will do and doesn’t necessarily mean anything, and me thinking it makes me look bad/is something to worry about is just insecurity speaking.
