A little background on my story, In highschool with this girl, been crazy into her since freshman year. I was as beta as could be with girls, with sports, and general social skills I was moderately alpha. I was as beta as could be in my LTR, and she walked all over me.

We both coincidentally went to the same college and in the same dorm building, only different floors. I (being as beta as anyone can) said i dont want to hold you back from anything so i agreed to an open relationship. I go out to some parties and meet some girls, dance with some nothing much. I look out my window one night after i get back and see my girlfriend hanging on some dude outside both drunk and he was walking her back to her dorm, he lived across the hall. I texted her a couple times with no response in the past couple hours because her phone was in his pocket. At that point I decided i didn't want to bow down and be her little bitch anymore so I ended it then and there.

She talked me into talking with her the next day and I hadnt changed my mind. I sent her parents a text that morning thanking them for the vacations i had been taken on and all the other things that they have given me.

sooo I just start ignoring her and start studying TRP. Two days ago she texts me "Hey, just wanted to say hi and see how you're doin I heard you and Sarah were walking together the other day lol"

I wait a day and a half to respond to her and say "I'm doing great. Happiest I've been In a long time. And Sarah? The blonde one from (a close dorm building)? "

she said no my roommate and at that point I shut down the conversation "Yep walked with her

Well I'm glad to hear you're doing good, just wanted to check in and see. Maybe I'll see you around and it won't be super awk lol

Did i handle the situation correctly? I'm at the point where i have little to no feelings for her. It would be nice to have her as a plate though. Do I just cut my losses completely? Should i have handled anything differently?
