Not all of us are perfect and of course simp behavior can come out if we're not careful. The trick is to quickly identify it and eliminate it.

This girl I'm talking to always replies to my texts quickly and engagingly. For the first time she didn't reply last night - no biggie, she's genuinely busy with her long shifts so I didn't mind. This afternoon still no response. I pulled the biggest simp move and went on her instagram. Noticed she has another follower. Went to check and noticed it was a guy. I immediately jumped to the conclusion that this new follower could be a new guy she's talking to over me. I immediately realized how stupid the actions and assumptions I took were - realized I still have a lot of work to do and I'm not perfect.
