So I'm now a sophomore in college. A little over a year ago I was dumped by a girlfriend of almost 2.5 years and it literally devastated my personality (She dumped me 4 days before moving away to college). I spend my days going to class, going to the gym and playing video games in my dorm. My roommate is honestly an awkward and slightly embarrassing person in public.

Now like I said, ever since being dumped I haven't acted as the same person. I've used to be shy, depressed and secluded; so I have missed out of meeting a lot of people and getting a solid friend group at the beginning of college. Ever since the start of the semester I have been much more outgoing but I still don't have the charm and confidence that I had back in the previous relationship. I'm ready to change and build myself back up to who I used to be, but I just don't know what to do next! What's the next step? How do I get myself back on track to having that confidence and personality that made girls want to talk to me? And I think the most important one: How do I start up conversations with random girls (or anyone to get closer to) and not make it feel forced and awkward?
