To preface the story, I'm a guy in his first year of university, living in dorms.

So I've been hooking up with this girl since September, but we decided to become exclusive mid November. It's now January and I'm having second thoughts. Before we became exclusive, I was consistently hooking up with 2 other girls as well, but she was always my favourite. At a party in early November she found out that I had been doing this and she was shocked and sad. In her defence, I'm the only guy she's ever been with so she doesn't have much experience. Obviously we were not exclusive at the time so I didn't do anything wrong. She could see from my perspective and was no longer conflicted. However, she said that if we were to keep hooking up, we'd have to be exclusive. I agreed, because I enjoy her company. The problem is, I go out a lot, and she usually doesn't come with me, because she doesn't like spending money. Since this is the first time I've ever been exclusive with someone, I'm not used to going out with the intentions of not getting with other women. My friends tell me I should just hook up with other girls and not tell her, but I'm not the type to go back on my word. When I'm not with her, I always think about what it would be like to be free again, but all those thoughts are gone when we are together. I have gone over a few times trying to steer the conversation back into the "what are we" zone so we can agree that we are not into eachother enough to be boyfriend and girlfriend, but I just end up sleeping over instead.
