I am 27 years old, used to be a beta fat nerd playing video games all day, completely flipped my life around in the last 4-5 years or so and became addicted to this infinite self improvement cycle.

I have a good, corporate career that I largely enjoy. I am a masters graduate, I live alone, I lift and am physically fit, I meal prep and am healthy. I picked up boxing 2 years ago and hope to have an amateur debut this year. I have lots of friends, perhaps TOO many. I dress well, keep good hygiene, etc. I recently fell into what I perceive as relatively deep depression and have begun working on myself even more to get out of this rut. Picked up some oneitis over a girl during and it knocked me the fuck down emotionally like a beta bitch. I see a psychologist every few weeks. For the last month I’ve meditated 20 minutes everyday (10 minutes morning 10 minutes night), I’ve begun reading every night, I’ve cut down Instagram and the like to maybe 15 minutes daily. I still feel unhappy. I have 2-3 ‘plate types’ trying to make effort with me, but I can’t be fucked with them unless they’re 8+/10. Are my standards too high? I don’t wanna fuck girls who im not super attracted to? What more can I be doing here? I feel like I’m doing almost everything right, or as much as I can. Should I just continue all this and in time it will be pay off? I always feel like I could be doing more, but every second of my day is taken up with something so called “productive”. I don’t find enjoyment in TV or video games anymore. Just bettering myself. Anyone else in this kind of zone? Is it too much?

What are your thoughts fellas?
