I was trying to look at the biological benefits of humans having emotions when I came across jealousy:
Jealousy: Men and women face different challenges when it comes to fidelity. A woman gives birth to a baby, and her selfish genes invest in it for she knows it's her baby. Thus to raise the baby, a woman needs support, apart from semination. Hence females get jealous when the man falls in love with somebody else, and hence stops providing to her and her child. In case of men, they get jealous of sexual infidelity
From this excerpt alone it seems like men don't benefit from being jealous yet we clearly experienced jealousy like no other.
