Hi TRP. First post here so forgive me if I'm breaking any rules, although I did read them.

I'm a 26 yo incel. Been in a dry spell for a few months. Working on developing the discipline to maintain Monk mode, but I frequently falter.

Anyway, I live with my best friend who has a long distance LTR. When I go out with him, I frequently notice girls checking him out. I have a hard time opening girls up (hardcore AA developed in my teenage years, tough habit to break). So I figure these girls are into him instead of me, so I end up not trying. I know that's beta as fuck, give me shit if you must. He's just not in the same headspace as me in terms of trying to bring girls home. He's not interested in fucking around on his girl which I totally respect.

So do I keep going out with this guy who is apparently more alpha than me, but doesn't have the same goals? Use him as a role model? Or should I go out with my single friends? The problem with those guys is they are also pretty beta and we rarely talk to women.

If I am able to open a girl up then I usually don't have much of a problem talking to her, I just need to overcome the approach and not give a fuck about rejection. Also my closing game needs work for sure. Any constructive criticism would be appreciated.
