Hey guys,

There was a period of time when I first discovered the subreddit where I'd practice a lot of approaches/game and never really got anything out of it other than better social skills and a growing acceptance of getting rejected, which I recognize is good and helps reinforce that "there's tons of chicks" mentality. Having read all the sidebar material I was well aware that because I have very low SMV at the current time--I'm fat and unemployed (lol). Over the past month and a half I've started forcing myself to not be lazy, started working out as well as doing odd jobs here and there to build a resume while I finish the rest of my bachelor's degree (computer science). These kind of activities feel good in their own right, and having more self esteem now I'd probably be doing them regardless, but yeah I am hoping in addition that in time the ladies situation improves--not trying to be MGTOW.

Anyways I'm wondering, given that I've started this fitness/work search stuff so recently if I should cut back a little on trying to approach girls (I often go out of my way to do so, like walking around campus for an hour or so after my classes are done) and just save it for whenever they cross my path for the time being and then resume the going out of my way when I have a better chance of the approach succeeding?
