Context: I have a class that is very difficult, and I like all of my classmates. We have a final examination coming up next Friday and everyone is studying hard for it.

I have put together a decent study guide that was not too much effort. However, I have went to every class and participated heavily. Would you send out this study guide to the rest of the class?

Pros: 1) Classmates will be very grateful and send their study guides to me 2) I will be in students good graces (many students are successful and are going to great jobs after college). Really helps build that network 3) Study guide did not take too much time and it help me already prepare to final exam

Cons: 1) Do not want to be a schmuck by giving up information I worked hard to understand 2) Average class score will go up (no curve in class) 3) Strict competition: this class has been ruthless from a grading point of view and everyone is trying to do the best that they can do. Extreme competition, and I don't really want to make it easier for anyone else.

Overall, I am leaning towards sending it out to everyone. What's your take?
