Drop your expectations. Try to have as much fun as possible:

Dance. Goof off.
Look for the ridiculous. There'll be plenty of it with drunk people around.
Don't drink too much. Unless you think it's fun to find yourself acting like an idiot or puking. Nurse those drinks. Pace yourself.
Socialize. Talk to people. Guys or girls. Circulate.

As soon as you get there start talking to someone asap. The more people you talk to the better. You can have some drinks to relax but dont overdo it. Remember to have fun. Thats what girls are attracted to. If you are dancing and getting looks from a girl you can approach her and dance with her. Just do it. Just remember to take things easy and slowly.

Sweep the party once and talk to everyone (social proof) Sweep again and start talking to girls and move them around as chess pieces to get the girl you want (preselection)

After your first sweep as a girl to play beer pong with you. Talk to her and tell her to introduce you to her friends, you can then take that girl or on of the friends and have her meet new people with you. This process should continue until you have met someone you want to get places with.

Attraction -> Comfort -> Seduction

Attraction - Be seen having fun, and talking to people for social proof.
Comfort - Identify your prospects in the room and your goal should be to get into deeper conversations with them. Plan how you're going to isolate them - "Hey, do you want to listen to something in my car" or "Hey, do you want to see if there's something better to drink in the other room" - Find out more about her so she feels like she knows you decently well that she won't be cold when you text her the next day.
Seduction - Well, chances are that you will have to set up a date for this.
