I met a lovely old man at the bar the other day. He was a chzech man with his daughter, speaking gregariously about whatever came to mind. He was the kind of guy that anyone who isn't a completely heartless piece of shit enjoys. I envy that because I'm not inherently nice enough to get away with saying whatever is on my mind.

The day after that I met a man who was called Bad Pete. Bad Pete is morbidly obese, cone shaped, and a complete asshole. He is endearing because you can tell him he's going to die alone and he won't take offense. Both of these men have character and I think both are worthy of respect, and though I aspire to be more like the former than the latter, I fear my nature is more towards Bad Pete than our gregarious father figure. I don't know how to go about fixing this, nor do I suspect I actually want to fix it. There's too much fun in looking at the world with disgust and hatred.

That aside, I enjoy doing cold reading. If you can get to a point where a girl is actually open to talking to you it can be very effective at making a connection, and for someone like me it's one of the best ways I know of moving the conversation along without being about the weird, boring shit that interests me or the generic, vapid stuff that everyone always talks about. I'd like to get more practice, and maybe do a bit more research. Suggestions, thoughts?

TL;DR I'm a cynical jerk and will alienate people if I don't keep a close eye on what I say, any suggestions for things to focus on so I can relax and not be so uptight?
