So a few weeks ago I made an account on Tinder to see if it was worth my time. After a lot of swiping, I currently have 14 matches. I messaged 13 of them, trying my best to think of a witty opener. I opened 2 with pick up lines, 6 with funny questions, 4 with questions about their profile, and 1 with a generic greeting (Hi (name). Your bio made me smile :) . )

9 of the 13 responded to my opener, and I had good conversations with a few, but all of them have since ghosted. Some ghosted when I asked for their Snap/number, while others just stopped responding. Interestingly enough, I had the longest conversation with the girl I opened with the generic greeting (Though she was also one of my less attractive matches).

I knew girls were known to ghost on tinder but I didn’t know it was this bad. What is your guys flake rate? How many matches does it take you to get a number or date?
