Hey seddit pretty simple question here. I'm relativly new to some of the techniques on this sub reddit but I can hold conversation well with girls. However I just had an experience where it was difficult. I had been into a girl and my friends talked to her, even though i asked them not to, and got her into me. We both went to a party, and it was awkward because they kept nudging, giving me a gameplan, etc. Her friends did the same for her, and it was not natural. In the end I hooked up with her, but it was more awkward than normal, because of the pressures of my friends. How can I prevent this from happening in the future?

Tl;Dr: How can I prevent being awkward with a girl when it was set up by friends?

[I am in highschool by the way] *To be clear I was already working on hooking up with her by myself, and it was pretty close to sure before my friends jumped on.
