I posted this in r/askseddit a few days ago and didn't get much response. Thought it might be general enough to post here.

I work in an institution for children and interact with many mothers and nannies on a daily basis, a number of which are in my age group. My job is customer service-based so, as you can imagine, openly flirting with the clientele (the moms/nannies. NOT the children. Assholes.) and/or asking for their numbers could possibly earn me a one-way ticket to HR. Still, this hasn't stopped me from some subtle flirting in the past, one encounter of which led to a girl asking for MY number (a first and, so far, only for me, and there's totally nothing HR can do about it!). My question- What are some subtle ways in which I can make women aware of my restrictions? I see a number of these women regularly and, for the most part, make all the right moves until it's time to close at which point I'm left floating dead in the water. I feel like I could confidently attempt to close any one of them in another environment. I have almost no other reason to be sharing my number with customers, and asking for theirs is a BIG no-no (at least in my department).
