It’s the start of the new semester so that means new classes and new faces for a lot of people. For me, in one of my classes I saw a HB9 sitting not too far from me.
On the first day I introduced myself to her, and she seemed a lot more responsive than other encounters. From the first day up until today she would try to make eye contact with me but look away. Earlier this week after class we briefly talked, but due to the conflicting schedule she had to leave before I asked for her number.
Today, I made it a “goal” to get her number. We were placed in a group together and we talked. However, after class we ended up talking more (I had to walk in her direction) and I got her number. One thing I did was say, “We can do the homework together tomorrow.” She responded with “Okay” with a smile. I then asked for her number and I said I’d text her about doing Friday’s homework.
I feel as if I waited a bit too long to get her number, and maybe I moved on a bit too fast by scheduling a meet up tomorrow (if she even shows up). Any thoughts and tips for how to handle this or am I thinking too much?
