Its a choice that you make b/c you are committed to someone. You can and should still talk to as many different types of people as you can, but your intent shouldn't be to close on any level when you're committed to someone.

Maybe it's not a commitment issue and more of the fact you haven't found the right person. Don't rush to find someone to marry. Don't try to find someone to marry. You know what that leads to? Divorce. Believe me. I married the first woman I had a long term relationship with and she left me for no reason. It's better to drop them if you are losing interest or they're showing red flags. Once you're in a relationship for five years and things are going great and you still can't bring yourself to move forward, then you can ask this question.

Why rush? I'm 25 also and love the thrill of the chase. My 20s are for ME! Until I am absolutely sure the girl in question ticks all the boxes consistently, a LTR is out of the question. I imagine this will be the case until well in my 30's. It needn't be unhealthy, but actually the choice of a well-informed guy who when he makes a commitment, truly makes a commitment.
