Work was busy and my social life was down to 0. That time is past so I have re-installed Tinder and also noticed why I removed it in the first time: Girls don't talk, at all. At least, not to me.

Lets apply some conditions to this case: My photo is fine, I get sufficient matches and the picture gets graded good enough on a dating website. The text underneath is fine, it is neatly clever with a wink to Tinder in general; it has received positive feedback in the past.

Yet, getting the matches is as far as I get. For this topic lets say I have 20 matches since I've reinstalled, and to 10 of them I've initiated a conversation. I tend to engage a situation, so various openers are: (1) "Wow, a puppy <3!" (Girl had a puppy on one of her pictures) (2) "Woah, what were you doing up at that time?" (Girl matched me at 3 AM) (3) "You really have the perfect amount of pictures" (Girl has 1 picture, same as me (note that my bio refers to this to tackle the potential risk in this).

So I you get the hang of it, I use situation openers. This suits my personality. I'm somewhat introvert and somewhat risk avers. I know I can be bolt, creative, chatty. Dodgy, all the way to a funny trash-talker about all the nonsense things in the world: but that just isn't me. I'd create a significant gap between how I present myself on tinder and how I'd be in real-life. Unfortunately I've had 0 responses. Out of the 10 girls I didn't start a conversation with, also 0 said "hi" to me.

I've had dates from Tinder in the past, but the dates/matches ratio is insanely poor. I know this is somewhat part of tinder, but in my case it is ridiculous. The goal now isn't to get laid as much as possible, nor find a date. It can be both; the goal is the engage a proper conversation and meet people in real life. At this stage it isn't relevant if that would be the girl I might marry or a fuckbuddy for the next month or so: I can deal with that objective at a later stage. I've access go female friends who are willing to help me on this: but women feel like really poor authorities on how to engage women. They seem to tailor everything to their own interpretation of a Disney prince which simply can't be blindly applied on a larger sample group successfully.

Any advice or good links are welcome. Unfortunately pages I've found on my own seem to have no avail for my e-game.
