First and foremost I apologise if this isn't the right community, but I tried asking for help on other subreddits and quite nobody answered.

For context I am a 17 yo boy and I'm quite introverted. I have the desire to interact sometimes, but often the anxiety is too high and it gets the worst out of me.

There's this girl from my high-school that's in the same year as me, but in a different class, and I quite like her. We met only a few times irl because the pandemic and stuff, but we never interacted. However, I saw last November on Instagram that she writes poems and I complimented her about it, then asked her if she wants to see one of my poems, and she agreed. She liked it a bit, but that was it, the conversation never continued because she probably wasn't more interested than that and I had other things in mind, so I didn't try to take it further.

However, it was her birthday recently and she posted a couple of photos (not anything to explicit, I wouldn't even mention it if it was the case) that made me think about her, but I don't know how to strike a conversation without being annoying / creepy / both of them. I don't know if she has a boyfriend or not, but I think there's a clue she is single, since she deleted those poems from her account (the poem I complimented her on was about someone).

I know it's best to approach irl, but I can't go out of nowhere to her. I know it can be shot and miss and I'll be happy that at least I tried, but I wish my try to be good tho, if it makes any sense.
