Start with Hi. If someone is interested it's less about how to start the conversation and more about starting it and than actually being able to mantain it.
Also if you don't understand something say "I have been a bit out of the loop, could you explain what this means". If the other party is even mildly interested they'll use it as an excuse to keep the conversation flowing.
Also acknowledging you might not be at your most comfortable speaking a certain language is not bad if you can do it from a confident place. It doesn't make you any less.
As a last bit, if someone you liked didn't speak flawlessly, would you be any less interested?
1) approach her.
2) point to you.
3) point to her.
4) point to your crouch.
5) do pelvic thrusts while maintaining eye contact.
6) ...run.
