Yolo. I’m your same age and I often approach girls that are older than me as well. Doesn’t matter cause you’re still practicing and you will eventually meet girls of your same age too. A goal for a future interaction could be to make good eye contact.

Will Yolo, even tho it will be hard shit. Eye contact is fine for me, just getting myself to approach really is a real pain. Do you set some goals? Do you flat out just approach with a compliment?

I count: 3..2..1 approach! And I think about all the times I missed an opportunity to talk to a beautiful girl because I chickened out. I usually go up to her and make a comment on what’s going on around us or if I don’t have the time to think about a line I just use the classic “hey my name is ...” or something like “hey, are you the girl from the bar?” Let her try to remember you and then “jk we never met before, I just wanted to talk to you. So what’s your name?” etc... But again it really depends on the circumstances. General rule: try avoiding cheesy pick up lines, or if it happens that you need to use one, acknowledge that it is cringe and joke about it saying something “...ok this pickup line was terrible but at least now I’m here talking to you...” then you could also compliment her during the conversation so you make 100% clear that you are interested in her.

Maybe start looking to approach these girls to make friends? When you start out a little more casual and not up front like “Hey how’s it goin, was wondering if I can get your number” you’ll just get used to conversing with people and relax the nerves a bit? I’ve done that and it helped me big time when I was around your age.
