I have a particular situation I would like some guidance with. I know the answer already is that I have to grow a set of balls, but I would like to hear about any related experiences any of you might have had with something like this, or advice.

Ever since I was 11 I lived at my grandparents' house with my father. My grandparents always were weird about guests. They would always tell them they were welcome, but to behind their backs they would tell us that under no circumstances did they want them over, or for us to have friends over. My younger brother and sister sometimes could get away with having people over the house, but once they were gone my siblings were berated, and their friends/dates badmouthed. By that time I had already gotten out of the house. I'm now 25. After university I got a job in my hometown of all fucking places, I moved in with my grandfather to save money, it is now just him and myself in the house.

My family was also very invasive and I did not have a lot of privacy, something I really like and cherish now that I have it as an adult! Growing up, I made a point of not introducing friends or girlfriends to my family. Partially because of the privacy, lack of judgement, and as a way to punish my family sad to say.

Now that I have started to pull girls pretty regularly, they eventually want to come over and see my place. In some cases I have dated women one to two years without introducing them to family, a huge red flag for them no doubt. I do have a nice set-up now, I am and adult, and my grandfather is much more laid back in his old age, but I still have some weird anxiety about introducing friends or girlfriends to my family or having them over. At this point I'm doing this for my friends' and partners' sake, and also as having another place to bring girls back to. Later this week I plan on letting my grandfather know that there is a girl I would like him to meet, and that I am going to have her over. It is his house his rules, so he can decline. If that's the case I will have to find my own place. Nevertheless, like I said, I would like to hear about any related experiences any of you might have had with something like this, or advice.
