For me, the best first step i took was working on self-esteem and unlearning some bad habits and patterns of thinking. To that end, i’d recommend reading “No More Mr. Nice Guy” and “The Six Pillars of Self-Esteem”.

Mark Manson has some good books (Models, Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck), and a great blog.

Mate I'm 19 too, and I finally figured it all out about a year ago. I didn't know what I had to do to get success with girls. I actually had some of my mates coming up to me and they asked me how to get girls approaching them first, because that's what happened. I'm now at the stage where I can instantly distinguish unsuccessful male behaviour to confident successful behaviour.

Look up this guy named Corey Wayne, he owns a youtube channel and wrote a book about being attractive towards women and understanding them properly. If you're not really into pickup artists like myself this guy will help you. He talks about the dating phase, relationship phase and keeping it all together in the long run.
