Ok, I'm a noob, but I think I can give just a little advice here.

I'm in a frat and we had a formal event last night. I was at the after party and I just started talking to this chick sitting next to me. She wasn't to hot but I wanted to try some stuff from here. I start talking with her about the regular garbage(major, where home was before uni, etc.).

While this is going on, I'm just trying to read her and vibe with party. (Which was well lit with all of our friends right there). I move my hand to rest it on the top of the couch, next to my armpit. Like my elbow points away from us. I keep shooting the shit with her and talking with the guys to.

At this point, we're talking in each other's ears but not overly, Just here and there. So I take my arm and lay it along the top back side of the couch. I'm still watching her and trying to read her. The couch is me in the corner, her RIGHT next to me, and possible enough space for two other people.

I move my arm toward her so that it's draped over her neck, she doesn't seem to do much so I start drawing little swirls and stuff with my finger on her arm. All while just shooting the shit with her.

At a certain point, I tell her to come with me. We head downstairs(LITERALLY no one down there). And we start to look for a room. Then some people come down stairs and catch us looking for a room. So I start trying to get rid of them, letting them know where stuff is, and where their friends are.

While that's going on, she's got her hands down the back of my pants and she's getting grabby with mah butt.

So we get the people sorted out and get in the bathroom.

I see her again later that night. Pretty much another round of the kino and shit, but much more condensed. While in the middle of that, I run out and threw up(glory to beer).

Takeaways. A.) I'm always really worried about consent. It's a big deal and I wouldn't want to hurt someone. I thought you had to do the whole, "can I kiss you?" Shit. Nah, build rapport, start kino, if she's into you, you're probably going to know it. Also, go slow. Even if it's a race, you gotta get through each leg. If one of the legs is literally impossible, don't waste your time and be a dick about. Just take it with grace, they get hit on a lot and they have to be in a mood to deal with it.

B.) DONT STOP TALKING WITH YOUR FRIENDS!! Let her into your group, but don't spend a ton of time on her, you came to hang with your buddies, do that. This might have been a fluke, I don't know.

C.) carry condoms so you don't have to say, "sorry, I just can't get an std".

D.) Don't get bogged down, this one success isn't indicative of my track record. I've been shot down more times than I care to admit. When I'm in the mindset to just laugh and see what happens, I KNOW that I'm more attractive
