Short answer: yes
Long answer: your date shouldn't just be dinner so if you go let's say ice cream after the date, let her pay for herself or if she offers to pay for you too then take it. Have a tid for tad attidude but only if she offers, don't make it a rule

You go to dinner, you have your dinner, at the end you offer to pay, pull out your card or cash or whatever when you get the bill, if she says no, insist once, if she keeps insisting, let her pay since if she's insisting she probably is more comfortable that way but most likely she'll let you pay.
Afterwards at the bars, if she offers to pay for anything for you let her, but don't be the one who brings up the idea so please don't ruin yourself by say "hey can you cover for me?" But if she says "hey, this one is on me" just say something like "next round on me then"
Idea is to let her be most comfortable whilst at the same time remembering that none likes a cheap ass
