You have to show sexual intent early on. You sort of get this based on your first point of what you've learned about touching. You need to make it very clear you find her attractive as quickly as possible, while still being socially smooth.
Do not, grow frustrated at any point. You will probably have the urge to if running game on vacation. You'll be rejected in ways that are really bitchy. Maybe you'll even see the same girl with a scrub or a douchebag. In this moment your instinct might be to mouth cunt or bitch, or just put on a frown. Don't, just listen to music, fake a smile, or whatever makes you feel better. Do what you need to do to get back to feeling positive.
before you start, drill into your head that you'll be fine either way. You're still going to be you if you get rejected, and still you if you succeed. And who you are is great either way. Try to keep telling yourself this before the trip.
Look around for IOI's. Look for girls checking you out, looking very "approachable". And when it seems like she's checking you out, or signaling she wants to be approach, then approach. Don't second guess it if it's debatable or very subtle. Just assume and tell yourself "She thinks I'm good looking", then just say hi.
Don't put up with any disrespect. I don't mean mild shit tests, just deal with those. But I mean if you truly feel disrespected, call her out on it. And if she doesn't respect that, nor respect you still, then just drop her in a respectful, non confrontational way. When you do this, you'll be happier, and also it will morph your behavior with future girls. This is effectively instilling your point about the pedestal. I don't tell myself I'm the prize, but what I do tell myself is "I deserve absolute respect, and I won't even deal with who crosses that line."
Don't keep failures on the forefront of your mind, just successes. If you have 9 rejections, and one number close. Your moral of the story should be, "I can get a number close from a hot girl if I want.". By doing this, you'll start to by default become how you were during the once success. You'll start acting that way more and of course that's a good thing.

A couple of things I want to point out. Yes girls in college do have options, but that also means you have options as well. College is full of opportunities, believe me. You're going to realize how many opportunities there were after you graduate. During your break, just focus on having fun, meeting new people, and be yourself. Don't focus the trip on picking up chicks only. Keep your standards high, and your expectations low.
