Any tips would be appreciated on this. I dated a girl over summer who was recently out of an abusive/ controlling relationship. I haven't liked a girl as much as her ever. All was going well until she had to get a court order on the guy to leave her alone. He kept trying to call her work and stuff. She asked for some space which I gave her as I could tell she was going through a lot but I haven't been able to get back with her since. We go through stages of speaking loads but then she suddenly gets all cold on me. I think she's worried she's going to put herself in the same situation as before and I need to prove to her that I won't.

Just give her space , let her know you are there for her when she wants to talk or vent . No matter what your there for her . It will be very long process before she trusts again, start slow prove to her your not pushy or controlling, but care but can give her space too .
