Waiting to meet someone off of craigslist near a museum by my apartment. I'm selling my PS Vita and the guy is 10 minutes late... so I am walking around the building. There is a (HB 7) curly haired girl coming out of the building wearing a very noticeable red peacoat.

Me: Hi...

Her: Hi

Me: Excuse me, I don't usually do this, this is my first time, but you are very cute and I wanted to let* you know that, my name is John.

(* that's the point in my attempted pickup where you could see on her face: "this guy is a creep and might kill me")

Her: I got to go to my car.

Then I just kept on walking trying to look for the guy.

I wanted to let everyone know that you got to try to know where you can improve. I'm sure most of the contributors on here are better than what I just did, but it's to those who haven't tried at all yet that I hope read this!

My reaction: I did not use good eye contact. I was wearing a coat and a hat that covered half my face, I did not have good posture. I realized I could have said absolutely anything and I would have been better than what I said. But I'm so happy for trying!
