First time picking up and having the balls to just do it. Lots of times I bailed but I did not want to pass this up.

Before I start I'd like to say I work as a nurse for an agency. Whenever a facility or residence needs extra staffing but can't call in anyone within their own payroll, they call my agency and ask for one nurse to send one down for a shift.

So that was me today. Never been to this facility before. When I came on to start my shift at 3pm we did the usual change-of-shift report among the nurses. Was attracted right away to this HB10. You can tell from the scrubs how sexy she was. This girl was working the 2nd floor while I was working the 4th floor.

Sometime during the day, one of the nurses with me remarked, "Hey you know that girl, HB10, is looking for a boyfriend." I played it off as what, really now, you can't be serious sort of thing. She continued to encourage me to go for it.

I used the local phone which connects all floors and called her downstairs.

"Hey where are you?"

"I'm down here at the second floor" (i was assuming she was on her break as I was told initially)

"okay I'm coming to see you."

I went to her nurse's station, saw her by herself and basically told her:

"Hey I would probably regret this tonight or my entire life if I don't say this--

"Say what? see a little smile from her

"That I think you're very cute, and I thought this could be the only time I will be working here and I may not see you again (the agency thing), so I thought what the hell. I was wondering if I could get your number?"

Her: Suuuuure.

I gave her my phone, she enters her number, took her a little longer to do it so I teased her, "You're not giving me your mom's or friend's number are you?" While she was entering her number she mentioned to facebook her as well.

"No, this is my number. laughs you can call it if you don't believe me."

"No I trust you. Okay, I'll text or give you a call sometime this week."

So I added her on facebook after my shift at 11pm last night. I haven't done anything yet but that.

i was thinking giving her a call today to set up a coffee date.

What do you think? Pointers? Feedback?

Edit: Called her up, set up a coffee date for tomorrow. I haven't gone out in a real first date in such a long time. Wish me luck.
