I'm walking home from the rain after the gym and it's rraining outside. I have a huge umbrella all for my selfish self. Anyways my gym is located at a pretty lively place: movie theater, restaurants and a renown NY bakery. I passed by the bakery to my way home and walk pretty quickly ( it's raining I don't want to get a cold after the gym cause I'm sweating ) anyways. After 2-3 minutes of walking home I see a woman walking holding the bakery box which is soaked by now and get next to her to offer her my umbrella. Me: " I don't have a van and candy..... But I have an umbrella you can get under if you want " and I just smile/chuckle She gets a kick out of it and says " this is awkward but only cause I want to enjoy my cupcake before it gets soaked anymore "

We end up walking the same path for about 10 minutes and we talk. I placed a little kino. I pulled her closer to me about 7 minutes of conversation and said " the point of an umbrella is for you not to get wet come closer ". I built quite a lot of rapport she lives 2 blocks awy from me which is my lucky. I ended up pulling a date instead of just a number close. It was quite easy since her cupcake was destroyed by the rain. It was covered yes but the box got soaked and it kinda got mushy. I simply said " aw your cupcake is destroyed, how about I make up for that , Saturday 8pm. " and she replied with a " I'm looking forward to it ".

We come from a similar religious/cultural background which really helped with the conversation and now I dnt have to worry about texting her and building rapport through messages to ask her out. I did it on the spot.
