Well I have been lurking seddit for a while and have done quite a bit of reading, but I have always had AA unless the opportunity was "perfect".

Anyways this was today. I see this girl as the bus approaches the bus stop, and I think to myself..."well she looks pretty nice and she has a nice ass" then i proceed to keep watching my movie on my phone. She gets on the bus and I am thinking to myself F it. I look up and try to make eye contact with her, she glances at me for a millisecond and then sits down right behind me. I wait for the bus to start moving, and I turn around.

At this point I'm shitting bricks, but I say Hi she says Hi back, and I ask her where she is off to...we start small talk about school and what not I make her laugh a bit and then I stop talking to her.

Well my stop was here for my next transfer and it just so happened to be hers as well. #winning? lol. Anyways as we wait to cross the street I chat her up again, build some rapport and we talk for about twenty minutes till the bus arrives.

Now here is where I get confused, she seemed disinterested but she also carries on the conversation at times. Other times i felt like it was almost interview like. I also realized that I was speaking really quickly so I slowed my pace down. I personally think she was intimidated or shy.

Anyways we get on the bus on she sits down, I stand next to her seat (bus was packed) and don't talk at all...as my final stop approaches I grab my phone enter her name and ask her to give me her number...She hesitates (wtf?) but then she gives it to me.

Anyways I get off wave her goodbye and proceed to work. After about 10 minutes I text her nice to meet her and hope she wasn't late for class. I ask to see her again, and she replies she would let me know. I say "sure ill hit her up later, to get to know her a bit more. She should have a nice day and keep smiling". When do you think would be an appropriate time to text her again? She I even bother?

I really can't tell if this was successful or not, but my day got exponentially better thanks to that. My advice to all the lurkers...F it just go for it there is nothing to lose!
