Hey guys, it's been awhile since I've posted an FR, this one is a bit different.

Two years ago, I was a mess. Beta would be too kind. I was an AFC like no other. I couldn't even keep my room clean, let alone seduce a girl. I'd spend every day that I wasn't in class smoking weed and playing video games. I had a girlfriend who left me because of this, and that threw me into a downward spiral...until I discovered this community.

About two years ago, I started going to therapy for my issues, but that's just the start. I started a workout regimen not long after, started taking care of my body a little better, and started getting my life in order.

Recently I started dating again, and it's had its ups and downs, rife with failures and brief successes. I'd often catch myself getting too full of myself and getting knocked back down (if you see me getting mighty, if you see me getting high, knock me down, I'm not bigger than life -RHCP, those words mean a lot to me).

Here's where the actual FR comes in. Last week I took a girl to the symphony. Afterwards she said "you lead such an interesting life." I didn't believe her, I had to actually think about it. Had I become an interesting person gradually over the past two years?

Well...I did recently applied to a primate research position in Africa, I'm going facial signal research in the meantime for my university, oh...and I'm posting this from the top of a mountain about 30 miles from the nearest road on day 4 of a solo 8-day camping trip.

I talked with my dad on the phone earlier today, and he said he was proud of me...he's never said that before.

This is killing my phone battery so I'll wrap it up.

Success isn't the opposite of failure, success REQUIRES failure, and through those failures you make little changes every day to improve who you are.

I wish each and every one of you luck on your road to leading successful, interesting lives, I still have a long way to go, just remember that change isn't going to happen overnight, but you definitely have it in you to change yourself if you aren't happy, you deserve it.
