Some background info: In my first year at a large public university, pretty attractive, math major but I get mistaken for an art student a lot.

I've been pretty involved with the party scene since I've been at college, and I'm getting pretty good at picking up girls there. I always dance with at least a few girls and can get a hookup out of it if I'm lucky, but this post isn't about that. I've recently realized that I kind of hate hookups, and want something more serious, but I have had no luck at all. After 10 or so dates I've never made it past the first date. Without knowing me, what could it be that makes me able to pick up girls relatively easily in a party setting, but not able to have anything more serious?
