Hey there seddit... Something slightly unexpected happened yesterday and I want your opinion/help on it.

A friend of mine approached and told me that a girl (let's call her Ann) from her university course wanted to go out with me for a coffee date. Now this caught me completely off guard and you'll get why in this backstory:

So basically, almost a year ago this friend of mine asked me to take part in a psychology experience from her course. Her work group was all girls and this is was when I first met Ann. I was getting along with everyone pretty well, but the one girl that stood out was Ann. She was acting towards me quite differently from the others: being nicer, making me feel more at ease, constantly smiling and staring at me, essentially showing a lot of interest. We hit off really well and had a really good chemistry (or atleast it looked like it) but, at the end of the day, I kinda "ignored" her actions justifying them with the fact that I had volunteered myself to help them with the work, and as so, she just wanted to come across as thankful for my help. The next day my friend was really excited about what happened between me and Ann, insisting on the fact that seemed really REALLY interested on me and you know, poking fun at the fact that I should invite Ann for a date as she was completely falling for me. Being the dumb and shy cunt I am, I completely ignored this.

Throughout the year I sometimes thought about Ann but ended up almost forgetting her and what happened... Up until now, almost a year after our first encounter.

Now... I think you can understand why I was caught off guard (even if there's no reason to be), adding to the fact that I was only in 1 date in my lifetime. This girl that I met 1 year ago and haven't talked with ever since suddenly invites me to a date (through my friend) and even gives a schedule of her availability so I can choose a day and set it up. With all this I instantly assumed attraction from her part (as does my friend) but the problem is... How to deal with it? This is going to be my 2nd date ever and I really don't know how to approach it, what to talk about, how to deal with her possible attraction while I'm not sure about mine towards her... I know that I should just go with the flow, that I shouldn't follow any guidelines, but I want this to go well and not make the encounter awkward and cringe (like some exchanges I have with girls that I know nothing about). She deserves it, I deserve it, the both of us should have a good time even if nothing comes from it. I need your help seddit... I have a lot of girl friends (not that it's relevant) and can keep good and healthy conversations with them, but this is only because I know them well, I know what we both like to talk about, our interests and with that I can almost "prepare" a conversation.

I'm still too flustered about this and the date is only 2 days away. I'm afraid my nervousness will end up ruining it for me. I need you guys. I know that this can be a learning experience, good or bad, but I want this to be a enjoyable date.

Ask me if something confuses you and needs to be cleared up.
