Define "effective"? It's effective at wasting your time. Really, you're just adding an extra step in getting laid/finding a girlfriend - you're just being a theatrical wizard. If you genuinely enjoy push/pull just for the sake of it, then awesome - go keep doing it. But if you're doing it in order to actually get laid/find a girlfriend, you're just slowing down your own progress and getting in your own way, for no good reason.

If you want to get laid a lot, or find a decent girlfriend, drop the games and focus on improving yourself (your style, your looks, dress better, hit the gym, build a life you're proud of) and go hit on girls directly.

I had a friend who used push pull, back before I even knew what that meant. It always seemed like he was a dick to the ladies but somehow "got away with it". I decided to try it out myself on some chick that I wasn't interested in, so no outcome was expected.

Ended up being very effective, and I was wondering whether she knew what I was doing. See, the thing with push pull is that it is a powerful concept, and with time and practice you can use it in very creative ways. Essentially, women like a challenge and get bored when you seem like a "sure deal".

Properly doing push pull puts her on the defensive, and makes her wonder whether you like her or not. This makes her question her self image (attractive, young, men want me) ever so slightly, and as a result, she unconsciously tries to re establish that frame by attracting you.

The result: you seem like a challenge, she says to herself "it's on" and interest spikes. This can have many applications, but don't overuse it, or you'll come off as a dick rather than the care free, fun guy that you're trying to be. However, you have to practice it too, don't let it be the only trick u your sleeve.

I'ts only good if it's already a part of your personality, have good social skills and there's is some attraction/connection. If these prerequisites are not given, it will make you look weird and feel unnatural to women.
