If she's by herself, say something like "Hi, mind if I sit down?" It's really that simple, then just talk about whatever comes to mind, getting her name is obviously essential, keep the conversation interesting, not weird. Also, I usually stay away from girls who have Ipods on, or some other mp3 player. Reason why is because when I have mine on, I'm doing so because I want to be cut off from everything else around me lol...

Oh god, this is the best. I take the bus to and from school, I usually ride the bus the same times so I know the "regulars." The bus is the BEST way to meet women. I disagree with wopchop87 on the whole asking to sit down. It's a fucking public bus, you sit where you want. I'm just going to say this and take it with a grain of salt, but when a guy(I'm also a guy, just observing from a different perspective in this situation) asks me in a 200 person size lecture class if the seat next to me is taken, I automatically think he's a pussy. Of course it's not taken, and if it is I will let you know... I'm sorry, I can't help it. So if a woman is sitting against the wall on a two person bench, she's obviously open to someone sitting next to her, or she'd sit on the outside of the bench.

Also don't make a bigger deal about it than it is... If you've seen her before maybe just ask where she's going or just tell her you've noticed her on the bus before and tell her you like her earrings or some shit, I don't care- it doesn't matter... Don't make it harder than it is. And most importantly, don't think about the people around you. For all you care, it's just you two on the bus.
