Work on yourself as a whole.

Self improvement is a fickle subjects sometimes, because almost everybody has a different idea of what their own self worth is, as well as different ways that they want to go about it. Simply put, no two men take the same path in life.

The best thing to do is to work on yourself a little bit everyday across the spectrum.

Get to the gym and get those endorphins going.

Learn a new skill - guitar, cooking, martial arts, etc.

Make it a goal to talk to one new person a day.

Over time, if you build yourself up across the board - good things will happen. I promise.

IMO you are living in a fantasy world that all these people have all these friends, get invited to all the parties, etc. You are thinking of some kind of fiction or movie as opposed to reality.
Maybe that is true for the prom king but that is just not the average person's experience in life. Stop trying to live up to a fictional character and go talk to females.
