First I’d like to say I’m very new to seddit. Not quite sure if this kind of post belongs here but here it is. I’m a sophomore in college who has never had a girlfriend, only hooked up a couple times. I was in line at jamba juice during the busy post-10 am class rush. I noticed that a very attractive girl had been following me on my way to line since we entered the building. As we stood in line, I didn’t say anything to her, even though we were both obviously bored/ not doing anything. I ordered right before her and stood in an area away from most of the other people waiting for their orders. As she finishes ordering, she comes over and stands right next to me. I immediately started thinking about seddit. Usually I would have just stayed quite and looked ahead, but for some reason I didn’t do that this time. I turned to towards her and asked her how her day had been going. I thought about not breaking eye contact first. She looked up at me with a big smile telling me it had been alright. I proceeded to ask her about what classes she had been to so far (first day of classes), her major interest and what her dream job would be. Turned out we were in similar positions in regards to our majors and she really lit up when she began explaining her career aspirations. After it seemed I was leading most of the conversation, I backed off. She then looked to continue by asking me questions. The whole time I felt like I was in that “other reality” where nothing else matters and I felt so connected to everything going on. Then my order was called and as I went to get it turned to her and said something to the effect of “I’ll see you around”. She had a big smile on her face and seemed to stumble over her words and said something like “well, yeah!” I didn’t get her name, number, nothing. All I know is on at least Mondays at 10 she has a Greek and Roman mythology class and might be at jamba juice after that. The reason I’m writing this post is that she was probably the hottest girl I had ever flirted with and to see where I went wrong and how to interact with her if I see her again. I never felt a time worthy of asking her name. It’s just a mouth noise we make to get each other’s attention. I felt it would have killed to conversation and seemed like I was looking for more. Any criticisms or suggestions? BTW, thank you seddit. If it wasn't for you I would never have had that experience, even if nothing comes of it.
