You and me both brother (about being too analytical). Honestly, and I may be going against the grain, but I think waiting a few days is unnecessary. Maybe give it a day or two, but you kind of have to feel out situations. You can usually gauge where you are at pretty quickly, especially an analytical dude like yourself. I do think that texting a ton of fluff initially isn't really all that necessary. Keep that filler stuff for the dates and build intrigue! Your time is valuable!

What I mean about chill persistence, is keep after it and don't be discouraged too easily. I used to give up right away if a super hot girl, was seemingly blowing me off. So important to not get discouraged and to keep a level head at all times. Keeping after it has helped me score some dates, too.

Sounds like you are in a good spot. Use those good vibes and positive attitude to get some more numbers and meet some new girls in the interim (helps with that one-itus). Always build up that basket (at least until you find what you're looking for).

Precisely man. I'm pretty damn picky myself, but it helps I live in SD, which could have the highest propensity of hot women of any city I've ever lived in. Sounds like you have this figured out. Give it a couple days and give her a call to setup a 2nd date, but keep the call super laid back and fun. If you get the voicemail, leave her an upbeat message. No worries either way, right? But on the off chance she doesn't pick up and or get back to you right away; give it a few days and try again. Maybe via a simple text this time. Can't even tell you how many times casual persistence has worked out for me. Situations are fluid, how she's feeling at that moment might not be where she's at a few days after. Plus hot women are constantly fending off advances from guys, and you know what, a lot of those guys get discouraged too early and think this girl's out of their league anyways, and give up.
