I've tried that, I just guess I'm not very good at it.
I'm pretty good at flirting when it comes to random girls, but I bite my tongue when it comes to her.
Anything I can do to get the confidence rush or do I just have to push through it?

After one of those conversations you talk about. "Hey we should hang out sometime. You wanna do x on y day?". Worst case scenario you know where you stand and can move on. The more you just hit on girls the easier it gets. Work on this now before college where you get a clean slate and hookups abound.
