For the past few months I've had zero interest in pursuing anything long term with a girl. I've went on "dates" with girls who wanted a relationship but I wasnt the boyfriend type so obviously this went nowhere. Lately I've been wanting to try it out and after spending time with my good friend and his girlfriend at a wedding reception it made me really envious. I realize this is a bad way of looking at it but I feel its time I try a real relationship.
All these girls I met kinda just made it super obvious they were into me so I never had to try super hard. Setting up the dates and escalating on said dates was pretty straightforward. I look back and I can't really think about what I did to attract these girls. So right now I'm kinda clueless on how to go out of my way to attract a girl I'm interested in.
I don't meet many girls outside of my work and sometimes friends of friends that also happen to be single.Right now when I meet a girl my general gameplan has been introduce myself, talk to them for a bit while throwing in eye contact, subtle touches, and teases. I then wait for IOI's then try and ask them out. I never got to that last step because I'm not convinced that these girls are truly into me only showing little signs. Strangely the girls I go after that show the most interest have boyfriends go figure.
I'd say I'm a really charismatic person when in comfortable and most people I meet end up liking me. Despite being the most outgoing and generally funny out of my friends and peers I'm the only one who has enough issues attracting woman to try and learn about seduction and self improvement. When I ask my friends they hit me with the honest "Dude you're one of the coolest dudes I've ever met you'll find someone great just keep your chin up" I've obviously got my flaws which I'm trying really hard to fix. Most recent examples are me working on my physical appearance and having better hobbies than video games.
I also have this idea in my head that I have to be the center of attention and I still care about what people think of me despite knowing its a problem albeit I've gotten better about it. You're probably thinking I have an ego and I can say you're probably right. I think it derives from me feeling entitled because I take the effort to try and fix myself and research the content but then I look around and see my friends in their consistent relationships that just seem to happen. When I get out of my head I realize this and become depressed and try to use it as motivation to further improve myself.
I also find I don't meet girls often as my hobbies don't really lead to that. I don't live in a big city full of activities or attractions and even then I lack the ability to drive few the next few month's. So right now I feel stuck and as if all my efforts at working on myself is pointless.
If you have anything to point out or ask I'd be more than happy to respond.
Tldr: I put in effort to learning attraction and self improvement but am not getting results. Also self-inflection.
